Creamy Cheddar Jack Sauce

This sauce can be made very thick for homemade macaroni and cheese or thinner for blending with rich or broccoli.  The below recipe, as is, is fairly heavy.  By adding more milk, you can reduce the sauce.


1 1/2 cup grated cheddar jack cheese

3/4 cup milk

3 Tablespoons flour

  • Over low to medium heat in a heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  • Stir continuously until creamy in texture.  If you do not stir it continuously, the cheese sauce will become stringy and lumpy.
  • Serve immediately.
